Midsummer’s Night!

It may be only May, but it’s Midsummer Night in my heart…well…kind of. A Midsummer Night’s Romp is officially out today, and I’m excited for folks to dive in. More info can be had on the book’s page. Stay tuned for an official chat coming up in the next month!

Readapalooza!

A note for those of you who love all things Drake and Aisling…over on the Official Katie Mac Discussion Group, we’re about to dive into a readapalooza with You Slay Me as the first group read/discussion book. Reading commences now, and discussion will start on the 24th.

You’re welcome to take part! https://www.facebook.com/groups/359678384170905/

Dragons!

All righty, my darlings, I promised you a post with dragon news, and here it is: if all goes according to plan (i.e. if I don’t go insane in the process of writing five books this year), then there will be not one, not two, but three dragon books released next year.

Yes, along with the two new contemporary books. I know! I’m totally crazy, right? But luckily, I have publishers who like this form of craziness, and, in fact, encourage it. No word on exact dates for the dragon books, but I’m expecting one to be out sometime during the summer months, and then the last two toward the end of the year.

The first contemporary will be out in January, with the second in (I think) May, or thereabouts.

And since I know some of you are wondering about vamp books…no, I haven’t forgotten them. Yes, I will write more. But not this year…with five books to write in twelve months—and god help me, I’m thinking of doing some new YAs as well—I’ve got as much as I can handle. I’ll start thinking about Dark Ones and steampunk and other such things later this year.

The discussion about just what dragon sept is going to be featured in the books will be conducted over on the Official Katie Mac Discussion group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/359678384170905/). Yeah, yeah, subtle, I know.

Got Question?

Info on the latest reader chat and Ventapalooza can be found here. Be there or be square!

Official Discussion Group

I’ve decided to close down the message forum since most folks have taken up residence on Facebook. With that thought, there is a new official discussion group that will replace the message forum, and you’re welcome to join in and romp with us there. You can find the group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/359678384170905/

Fourth Quarter Wallpaper!

It’s late, but finally available, thanks to Assistant Sister’s dedicated work through her cold. You can find it on the wallpaper page.

Art of Stealing Time Audio now available!

The cover is missing on Audible (that usually happens when the audio book folks zap the file over in a bit of a hurry), but The Art of Stealing Time is now on Audible.com, and ready for all your listening pleasure! I can’t wait to hear how the narrator does with all the wackiness that ensues in the book. You can listen to a preview on the Audible site here.

The Great Art of Stealing Time ARC Contest: Day Thirteen

Rather than have one contest that people enter over a period of a week or two, I’ve decided to hold one contest for each Art of Stealing Time ARC. I have thirteen ARCs to give away, so beginning July 18th, one contest will run each day until all thirteen ARCs have been given away.

Details:

  • Each contest will require a separate entry. Once that day’s contest is over and the winner has been randomly picked, all other entries will be tossed.
  • Contests will run for 24 hours only, from midnight to the following midnight.
  • One name will be drawn randomly from the pool of entries each day to receive a signed ARC; there is one ARC per winner, so if you win one, there’s no use in entering the contest again.
  • Please note that some contests may include slight spoiler text from Time Thief, so if you haven’t read it yet, you may want to give the contest a miss.

To enter today’s contest send an e-mail to contest@katiemacalister.com with the following:

  • Your Name
  • Your Mailing Address
  • Your oath that should you win, you will keep the ARC just for you and no one else but you, because you know that I will psychically intune any sharing of the ARC, and will cry and think very sad thoughts about you. Which you don’t want.
  • Your answer to this request – What is the question to which you’d answer “I’d rather just have a pickle, thank you”?

Note: contest ends at midnight Pacific Time on Friday at 12 am. Any entries received after that time will be discarded.

A winning entry will be randomly drawn the following day, and a signed Advanced Readers Copy of The Art of Stealing Time will be sent to the winner.
